Our project is a fan-driven project written, animated and produced ( painstakingly in the most exciting way) by us and a wonderful cast of multi-talented artist, actors, comedians, singers, dancers, fans and supporters who have all joined the WIARLAWD team to help us bring this first episode to life with a spot on counterpart fan fiction series made for the fans by the fans.Ī little of both.

We do not own any license to The Last Dragon or the Last Dragon brand. So to give the fans what we all have been waiting for without delay, while proving our studio’s creative worth production quality, we are producing episode one at our own expense and time. HOW IS THIS PROJECT BEING FUNDED? Until we gain a greenlight on the full animated series we cannot raise or crowdfund any money for this project. Though we have a wildly talented cast we still only have a 2 people animation team to allow us to continue the process on our own free-time and expense while we put the smack down in every frame rendered. The cast is aligned, animation is in full steam process and we are aiming to complete episode one by end of February 2020 if our schedules permit. We are still mid-production of episode one. With zero funding to date, Daetrix and Fabienne have invested their own time and resources any participation by fans, artists, actors, and animators who want to help bring this series to life will be voluntary. Fans are encouraged to be a part of the project by participating in the making of episode 1. It will be a collective effort by fans for fans. The aim right now is to create a “Fanimated” pilot episode to demonstrate the production value and to rally fan support in an effort to help greenlight the full series. The quality of the teasers speaks for themselves. Don’t let the “indie” part make you think that this is going to be low budget. With ‘The Last Jedi’ and now ‘Rise of’ I’m thinking perhaps someone at Lucasfilm or Disney is a fan of The Last Dragon? 😉Īn indie production studio called WIARLAWD productions, lead by Daeshaunn “DAETRIX” Delong and Fabienne Delong is behind the project.
